Hotel La residenza is a eco-friendly hotel set within an oasis of tranquillity, in the Affori area of north of Milan, sheltered from the stresses of city life, yet just a short distance away from all major attractions.
The hotel looks onto a pleasant park, fitted with a children's play area, which is an ideal place to go jogging. In addition to this there is a gym that has an arrangement with the hotel, offering the use of body-building and fitness rooms, as well as aerobics and muscle-toning courses.
In a relaxing and familiar environment where every detail is chosen with the greatest care, the multilingual staff of the La Residenza Hotel remains at complete disposal to assist the guests during their stay.
Among the range of services available, there is the chance to have frequent access to the gym, the Internet Point and the wireless connection in the hall, the garage (on payment and it must be reserved in advance), laundry service, the garden equipped with tables, the 24 hours open snack-bar, the elegant wine room, the safe at the reception, the sell of bus tickets, the booking of daily excursions in and out of Milan and the private transfer service from and to the main airports, the Fair of Milan and the New Exhibition Center of Rho-Pero and the city.
The hotel and its staff pay particular attention to the environmental problems and to the bio-architecture: within the hotel, several solutions are adopted to reduce the impact of the facilities on the environment, such as the use of alternative energy sources, low voltage light bulbs, ecological paper and toiletries with fully-recyclable packaging. In every room there is a message to make the clients aware of this commitment and to invite them to a conscious use of what is put at their disposal.

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.

The 60 rooms (single with French-size bed, twin and double with queen-size bed, triple and quadruple), extremely comfortable and welcoming, are furnished with style and simplicity, in a fine mix between classic and modern style.
Rooms especially fitted and fully accessible for the disabled are available on the ground floor.
At the restaurant of La Residenza Hotel the guests can taste typical italian wines and gastronomy, starting from the delicious and abundant buffet breakfast with its sweet and savoury specialities, with possibility of room service. On request it’s possible to organize parties and banquets. For soccer lovers, there is also a large screen to enjoy live matches.
Not to miss in spring and summertime the aperitif in the garden with music, drinks and delicious snacks. The hotel offers a menu à la carte. On request it is possible Half-Board treatment (dinner) with an etra EUR 20,00 per person, including a three course menu (pasta, main course with vegetables, fruit or dessert and a bottle of water 0,50 l). If the meal is not consumed, this service will be charged anyway. Breakfast is served 7:00 – 10:00;
Dinner: 19:30 – 21:00.
Restaurant will be closed from August 02nd to 31st 2008.
By Plane:
- From Malpensa Airport you can take the Malpensa Express train with departures every 30 minutes. Get off at Bovisa railway station (this is a 35 minute ride). From here you can take a taxi to the hotel, which is only 1.5 km from the Bovisa station.
- From Milan Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio Airports, there is a shuttle bus leaving every 30 minutes for Milan Central Station, which is the last stop.
- The hotel offers a special transfer service from the airports. Please contact the hotel for further information regarding this transfer service, including the transfer's special terms and conditions.
By Train:
- From Milan Central Station, you can take the Metro yellow line towards Maciachini until the last stop. From here you can take any one of 3 buses: number 41 (towards Bovisasca), number 52 (towards Comasina) or number 70 (towards Bruzzano). Get off at the 5th stop at Pellegrino Rossi-Baveno. Go down Via Vignati (about 200 metres) and make a left on Via Scialoia: you will see the La Residenza Hotel on the right-hand side of the street, just after the church. Total journey time is approximately 20 minutes.
